Encrypted AI governance, built in the EU.

AI assistants should follow your company's rules — encrypted and role-based. That is what taip is built to do.

Why taip exists.

It started in regulated software — not a side project

Our founder builds and operates medical software. Not as an experiment: as the product a regulated company ships to customers. The codebase runs under the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and IEC 62304. Every AI session that touched it had to know those standards — and the company's domain conventions — or the output was worse than useless.

The problem was the reset

Every new session started from zero. The assistant did not remember the relevant standard. It did not know the company's conventions, the rules around restricted data, or why certain architectural choices were made. Re-teaching it took time, and the teaching was inconsistent: a different session, a different version of the rules.

For a regulated codebase, that is not an inconvenience — it is a compliance risk. The AI is working from whatever context it can improvise, not from the source of truth.

So the knowledge became something the AI could load

The founder encoded the rules and context once — MDR constraints, IEC 62304 structure, domain conventions — encrypted them, and served them to every assistant over MCP. The assistant loaded the same rules every session, from the same encrypted source, without any manual prompt engineering or re-explanation.

The result: 138 rules, running daily

That first system ran 138 rules. It ran daily. Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot all read from the same source — the same standards, the same conventions, the same company — regardless of which model or tool was active. The same governance, everywhere, consistently.

That library became taip

The system that solved the problem in one regulated codebase is now a product. taip is the durable, encrypted form of your company's knowledge — governance rules, domain context, compliance packs — served to every AI assistant over MCP. Load it once. Every assistant reads from the same source.

An LLM without context is a wild horse. taip is the blinders that keep it on task and the saddle that makes it rideable — direction and control, not a leash.

why taip exists

Every new session started from scratch. I was re-teaching the same MDR constraints, the same IEC 62304 requirements, the same company conventions — every single time, and inconsistently. I encoded those rules once, encrypted them, and served them to every assistant over MCP. The consistent assistant I needed became the product I built.

why taip

What we are building — and why.

One encrypted set of rules for every assistant

Your governance rules, versioned and encrypted, served to every AI assistant over MCP — not scattered across hundreds of config files.

Technical controls relevant to EU AI Act and GDPR

taip's architecture provides encryption at rest, role-based access control, and access logging via context-mcp — technical controls relevant to EU AI Act and GDPR requirements, built into the product from the start.

Privacy-preserving by architecture

Encryption at rest, role-based access, and crypto-shred designed for GDPR erasure — built into the architecture, not added as a policy layer.

Built and hosted in the EU

Taip Systems OÜ is registered in Tallinn, Estonia. Infrastructure is EU-hosted and operated under EU law.
