What we collect and why.

Alpha-tester signups

Email address, and optionally name and company. Collected to notify you when taip opens access. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — your explicit consent.

Investor access requests

Name, email, and company. Used solely to evaluate and fulfil your request for investor information. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — consent.

Investor document access (self-serve and operator outreach)

When you or we generate a personal link to investor documents (the deck, and for some recipients the financial models; for people we ask to review our investor one-pager, that page only), we log when the link's gate page is opened and which documents are opened from it — timestamp, a coarse browser family (e.g. "chrome"), and country. We do not log your IP address or full browser identification string. The first time you open each document, an internal notification containing those same details is emailed to us; it is not shared outside taip and it is not sent again for repeat views of the same document. Self-serve requests (via the form above) are processed under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — consent, covered by the checkbox on that form. Links we send proactively to named investors we are already in contact with, and to people we know personally and ask for feedback on our investor one-pager (operator outreach), are processed under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest, for the purpose of normal B2B fundraising contact and of improving that material (recital 47); these are not obtained via the form and do not carry consent, and every such email says how to opt out. Retention: invite and access-log records are kept for 12 months from the last activity on the link, then deleted. You can object to this processing, or ask us to revoke a link, at any time by emailing support@taip.is.

Analytics (opt-in)

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you accept cookies. No analytics data is collected before consent. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) — consent.

No data sold or shared

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Analytics data is processed by Google under standard contractual clauses.

Access and rectification

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate data.

Erasure

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. For encrypted data, we apply crypto-shred — the encryption key is destroyed, rendering the data permanently inaccessible.

Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@taip.is. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Right to object (legitimate interest)

Where we process your data under legitimate interest — operator-initiated investor outreach — you may object at any time by emailing support@taip.is. We will stop that processing and revoke any active document link unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or your local supervisory authority.
